Mess Shanghai

A new story is told through the connection of all the different components.

 At Shanghai's art zone, nNext to MAM ‘Museum of Modern Art, at Shanghai's art zone, a new concept restaurant was established. Taking the mélange culinary experience of chef Shahaf Shabtay, and turning it into a sharp and clear story.
The primary design concept of MESS restaurant stems from the full character

embodiment of chef Shabtay. Middle Eastern, Asian and European Collage

as the essence of the brand. While these different cultures coexist, each retains its unique and different characteristics.

 

The restaurant’s aesthetic is all about back to basic materials,

coming from the Middle Eastern desert style, through Eastern minimalist Zen,

all the way to classic European refinement.
